Education: Graduate of Upland High School, followed by advanced educational classes at Fullerton Jr. College, Mt. San Antonio College, California Polytechnic College, and University of Michigan
Business Experience:
Employed for 29 years with General Dynamics Corporation as a Department Clerk, Secretary, Administrative Assistant, and served the last 15 years as a Sr. Executive Assistant/Office Manager to the Corporate Executive in charge of the West Coast Divisions. Duties included interfacing with leaders of other defense industries and branches of U.S. Military, on various classified programs. Assisted with strategic planning; long-range planning; management policies; travel arrangements; training secretaries for executive positions (which included attending and conducting seminars). As a result of a strong work ethic, and attention to detail, Suzie received numerous Extraordinary Achievement Awards from the General Dynamics Corporation, as well as several awards from outside organizations.
Enjoys interior decorating (frequenting various thrift stores and estate sales in quest of the perfect addition to current projects), avid reader, listening to music of all kinds, especially Gospel, Country,” Oldies but Goodies” rock and roll, and Opera (while singing along, mostly off-key), camping (especially at the beaches or on river trips) and spending quality time with a large, extended family and friends whenever possible.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIST
Rodney L. CastanienMarried 32 years, four adult sons, and 14 grandchildren Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree in Systems Analysis and Engineering, followed by attending various advanced Technology & Business Management courses (UCLA, USC, West Coast University and University of Michigan) Business Experience: Employed for 42 years with General Dynamics/Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Corporation as a Research Engineer, Design Engineer, Engineering Fellow, and Sr. Project Manager of various classified defense programs. His expertise allowed him to interact directly with other defense industry leaders, as well as top military leaders, both here and abroad. Holds Patent’s as result of his innovative ideas relative to infra-red technologies. Enjoys being a Member of the Deep Creek Fly Fisher’s Club (which includes planned fishing outings at Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe, Henry’s Fork in Idaho – strictly catch and release), volunteering with the U. S. Forest Service, golfing, riding off-road vehicles and camping, playing the piano, trumpet and guitar, as well as spending time with a very large extended family and friends.
RECEPTIONIST
Kaitlin (Katelynn) Nicole Smeirat
The youngest in a family of four including, one older brother
Education: Graduated, with honors, from Kaiser High School in Fontana, CA. Currently a Sophomore, she attends classes at both California State University, San Bernardino, CA, and Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Though her major is in Nursing, she is also taking several Business classes including, Business Management, Human Relations, and Business Typography.
Enjoys working on, and with, computers, as well as all things electronic. Has a thirst for knowledge, and enjoys researching, at her leisure, any and all things. She is an extremely fast learner, and confident in her ability to succeed at anything she applies herself to.
A real people person, Katelynn, enjoys spending time with others, be it strangers, friends, or family. She loves traveling the world with her mother (traveling buddies), and appreciating how the rest of the world lives.
She enjoys all genres of music, either listening to or playing. Though her favorite instruments to play are piano and trumpet, she is also adept at playing the guitar, and currently learning to play the ocarina. She thoroughly enjoys getting together with her friends, who are also music buffs, for regular jam sessions.
